Why do people post empty at home, do they get work from this, I have seen somebody put this at 11.30 pm and 3.00 am can somebody please explain what this is about, I might start doing it myself?

Is it an informal invite to share a brew?

Well it's all very well looking in the directory to find a courier, but it doesn't mean that they're going to be there so i think it's there just to confirm that they are and not out on a job

Well that sounds fair enough, but you get people who join up then 15 minutes later they have put empty at home, and then you get the gone 11 pm brigade posting it, i'm off to bed by that time.

There are some 24hour opearators tho, and I for one will NOT ring anyone at silly o'clock, so posting "empty at home" at 3am tell sme it's ok to ring if i get owt... Dya get me?

Being available 247 and actually being operational 247 isn't the same thing

An 247 manned Office v at home in bed but with the phone next to you

Both 247 but quite different

I've once or twice posted 'empty at home' at the end of an evening, mistakenly thinking it would mean that I'd be more prominently seen as available when things kick off the following morning.
