1383They should add together all the hours it's down and give us a rebate at the end of the year.

698You keep dreaming Camvan... That the only way you'll see some of your money.
And while your dreaming... See if you can find why some companies on CX with more than one depot are paying CX the same rate as you do as an O.D. to use the system ... But all those multi depots can log into C. X. and use the system using just the one account ... Now that has to be fair on all us O. D's dont you think..?
I wasnt dreaming when I asked the question why ? ... May be thats why I'm still waiting for some one to ring back with my answer.

5How many people are depending on this tin pot organization? Everything I have ever heard is bad news

3440Mr Barnsley, if you want I can ask them to phone you about you becoming a member, bet you would like that.
Martin Services
1383It is an annoying site to use, but I would say that it has been worth my fee. I think I joined in October, and so far have had about £650 of business through it (gross, but about a quarter of that amount was backloads, so quite welcome). So certainly not enough to be the foundation of your business, but worth the initial outlay.
Like mtvan, it's especially useful when you're starting out, to have immediate access to loads and networking opportunities, and like on mtvan, I've built quite a few good relationships through jobs initially found on Courier Exchange.
But as you say Kev, the fees are crazy, and for that kind of money you don't expect the system to keep crashing. My browsers (Chrome and IE) both hate it. If it wasn't for Courier Exchange having more work on it, mtvan would blow CX out of the water for clarity and ease of use.

They actually sent me one of their postcards. The last person that I worked for that we went bust was a Courier Exchange member in Wakefield! He paid me before he went luckily but we still got the administrators gumpth I did not know who was who but there were couriers from all over.

10314The software is inferior but it HAS got the number of members that makes it work So although it's annoying to use, and seems to go down at the worst possible times, it does do what it designed to do. Up to the others to offer a real alternative, which i guess is up to vendors puttin more work on.

780Courier Exchange has been down all day and yesterday evening on my PC, running Chrome but never had a problem with it before.

Wow, they do seem to have properly messed up something. Is this on their new system? I gathered that they were upgrading a load of stuff?
Slightly off topic... Can any of you Courier Exchange members tell me how you can prove you're a member? As in could you prove to me you're a member how would you do it? Maybe you have a receipt? I don't think Courier Exchange has profile pages like mtvan does?
Oliver & Sons
780I am not a member of Courier Exchange, and have considered joining, but every job I've seen there that is in my area so far has also been on mtvan so I know where I prefer to stay.
Parkinson Direct
5Do you think that they may have gone skint?
Oliver & Sons
780Been expecting a call from them (again) any time now so will I tell them you are enquiring?

698Appart from the phone call Ive been waiting years for.. WEhen They rang at christmas touting for buisness I told them to ring back in January as I had a visit with a Japanese otician over the Christmas - New year ... Guess what...

1383Admin, you're given a five-digit ID number, which you have to quote each time you bid on someone. The poster then uses the number to find your profile.

817But the outlay is mental compared to here and other sites. Its the front loading of the costs that puts me off. never again did it a few years ago and did get some work off. But never again unless they change there model

Last time I looked (couple of minutes ago) it was £45 a month and 12 months in advance. Are most subbies paying less than that?
Edwards Group
529I got 15 month for 12 but paid up front for the lot
Andrews Services
1833Evening all.
Apologies for giving false info in regards to the monthly cost, I assumed it was around the £30 a month mark, but even at £45 a month, its a no brainer for SOME.
Les, how are you? :Long time no speak pal? Everything is well down here and keeping busy as always bud. Don't be a stranger - pop in if your passing and im around. Having to go out and work at the moment more than usual as three drivers off at moment and agreed it all thinking we would be quiet!

Thanks for the info, I'm really not very familiar with how their system works.
Is this the new site, or is everything down? Does their mobile stuff still work or is that down too? Have they given a reason for the problems they're having?
Henry Services
529It seems that everything is down including the app.
Russell Group
3617It seems to be a frequent problem. I hope you guys get some compo for the problems and inconveniance this has caused you. Other hand sites like mtvan and Shed5 as well as other small sites do have their uses. OK they are not as big for the amount of work you guys push out, but every little bit helps, and they dont cost as much.
