Quoting on mtvan from Android

Just wondering if I'm the only one who finds it VERY hard to quite for work from my phone. As acknowledged by Admin there is an issue with the date filter and android/chrome where what you type goes in the wrong boxes. Anyone else have this trouble?

Hi Jamie,

This is a bug in Android which I think affects all/most of the browsers available on it in the same way. I have an update on the way in a few hours. Just testing on Android now.

We've updated the site to simplify the validation on the Courier Work Details/Quote page, the Post Empty page and others, for Android phones only.

I don't get why you have to enter the date and time you expect to pick up the job anyway. Surely the date is redundant, how many jobs are there where you would offer to pick up the job on a different day to when it was meant to be? And 9 times out of 10 you won't know what time you will pick it up because you don't know when you'll be setting off because you haven't been given the job yet!

Wouldn't a simple 'time to pickup' be better, so you can state that you're 15 minutes away or 30 minutes away or whatever?

I thought this too. Unless it's an urgent job that is to be collected and delivered ASAP, the time would be agreed with the customer upon confirming the booking, not when quoting.
