Just a quick question.
I posted a backload job and added that it was a "backload job" with 7 days on it.
After a few calls it seems that when this is posted out and appears on members mobile phones
there isn't any information from the comments section.
Therefore people don't see these comments and call thinking it's a hotshot job.

I'm just trying to save members wasted time and phone calls!!

Thanks for the question.

I can fully see where you're coming from, obviously with SMS's we have a limitation on characters and that doesn't fit well with the comments that are effectively unlimited free text.

Perhaps a checkbox to indicate backload and then I could include that information in the txts?

While I'm there, what types of jobs would you say there were... backloads, hotshots... anything else?

Hi Admin
Usually for us backloads are where we have say a week to move the consignment.
Like the one today is a chap in scotland who has bought something in nottingham, probably an ebay item without first checking potential delivery costs.

All we can do is put it on as a backload and let the customer know the cost.

I have given him the best price so far and he has not told us his budget is £70.

I did tell him it's a little unrealistic for a door to door delivery for an item of that size even given the delivery window.

I would say a hotshot is usually something that needs collecting within 60 mins and delivered direct.

that's a good one admin i had similar call last Friday from a customer wishing to collecting  a eBay item from boreham wood herts & bringing it back to Birmingham but like all ebay stuff they have a small budget, these items if put on a back load would be great with having the time scale to do them in as part of backload rather than just scarring a customer away with a hot shot price, i know there's sites like shiply where you can stick them on but in all honesty i don't trust the site nor would i trust having my customers goods delivered by some random bloke with a van who's prob not even insured to carry the goods.

tried Shiply myself, a right old game is that, I quoted on a job abd I had some geezer lecturing me on how Couriers operate at such cheap prices.
Ive only worked in transport for 23 years!!!!!
