On many profiles Motorbikes are listed do you really have them or is it just to ensure you get motorbike alerts? Is there some way other than people listing imaginary vehicles for them to get all alerts for vehicles smaller?

Its annoying calling someone who lists a motorbike and doesn't have one.

Tony i think if you list small van or lwb you will get alerts for motorcycle

After all you have the capability to do the job

This is where people have set up their accounts wrong, your services provided are listed on the General Details page of your account settings. Whereas your Alert Settings page is where it should be set to all the vehicle types you want alerts for.

It is a bit confusing. I am guilty of this, I'll sort it out when I get home.

Apart from being a Bike courier business with the additional small van for the larger items, I may also add to my profile that I have all the vans from midi van upwards to look impressive and waste everybodys time when folk ring up requiring a certain vehicle in that area....

It's frustrating for us when we are ringing around looking for someone with a long wheel base, only to discover the courier only has a small van.

Admin - is there a way for owner drivers to be given the option of only registering 1 vehicle? With a seperate option for courier companies to register multiple vehicles?

Ring around?

I thought that would have been unnecessary for you, with your little Empire?

We have never had to do so much ringing around, it's got to the point that i am thinking of employing someone to do this job and nothing else! Friday we rang around our own people, then mtvan members for a LWB job from Portsmouth, with no success. We eventually found someone from Yell.com who just happened to be an NCA member. Bingo, job finally covered!

There are many variances in between it's not just black and white, I personally have two courier vehicles both correctly insured with very regular subbies and a variety of not so regular subbies.
