Won't make one iota of difference to the thousands of drivers that make a living delivering eBay goods.

Sameday Retail "Jobs"

Wow. They're advertising deliveries for 90p! Seriously Admin. Why are you notifying us about shutl on here?

Because RGM, the sameday retail jobs you see on here ARE via SHUTL, and like it or not their tie up with eBay will mean more "retail sameday" jobs entering the market.

Good news for some, bad news for others

Thank God I've got those alerts switched off! Now we just need to filter out the freight train load that seems to be being done by LWB Trannys between CM8 and Bridgend! Is there really a load every hour on the hour?

Sameday Retail "Jobs"

The £5 jobs?

Retail can be a pain in the backside.

We help a carrier out sometimes and you find alot of retail deliveries are for major high street brands that are based usually based in pedestrian zones with poor access.

We can and do have a good rate for what we do.

I have a £25 minimum charge which covers the first 30 miles from pick up.

I don't put the key in the ignition for less.

I would dread the idea that I'd be caught up in one of these silly little 5-10 miles for only £5-£10 when a call for a decent job comes through and I'd have to say no to it.

The small jobs always take a lot more time than you would ever believe.

That's why a proper courier charges a proper rate.

In my humble opinion not only do these jobs have no place on this site, they also demean the professionalism and experience of the subbies who are registered here.

Admin, these retail sameday jobs are not courier work. They are jobs for the Yodel, Hermes lifestyler couriers who are almost all inproperly insured and running around in 10 year old cars.

You began this site with a very positive and noble intention of enabling B2B courier and courier companies to connect and provide B2B services.

At which point and why did you decide that jobs which would have professional couriers running round like pizza delivery boys for tuppence a throw fitted nicely into the professional impression that you wish to convey to your potential clients would be a good idea.

All of these "Retail Sameday" jobs belong on Shiply, AnyVan and even your own Deliveries Supermarket.

By allowing these jobs here on MTVan you are enabling companies who just want the cheapest courier possible (as long as they turn up on a donkey that doesn't look ready to die) to force down the prices of courier services.

THESE JOBS DO NOT BELONG ON HERE!
