Has anyone done anything for Rico? Apparently, they have taken over from HL.

That was back in November

Not the best rates in town, and promises of "backloads"very over optimistic

City sprint have taken over DHL sameday a couple of momths ago cos we had a dozeb drivers come knocking at our door

DHL customers are running for the hills at the moment, we have had about 6 ring us and ask us to do their work. So happy days for us

It was actually Rico that took over DHL Sameday in November 2013. DHL drivers have been transferred to Rico, but many are leaving. Rates are still poor though!

I wouldn't overly worry, customer service is poor and atrocious when things go wrong, I nabbed a customer from DHL because they felt as if they were consistently lied to about the reasons deliveries were taking longer than expected

I was delivering in Southampton last summer and my delivery address was next to a Rico depot. There was a crowd of cars and people outside at 9 am so i asked the warehouse man what was happening. He told me that the Rico drivers were "ranking on".

None seemed to be in uniform , a number of them i was told were Mexican and there were a few proper taxis waiting to "rank on" .A very bizarre sight It reminded me of people queuing at a soup kitchen .

Maybe Rico pay their drivers with bread and soup?

Don't knock them, they require drivers and your potential earnings are £600-900 a week.

When I hear 'potential' that automatically translates to 'dont hold ya breath' it wont happen soon.

Aaahhhh, they told me my house had "potential". Can I tell her it won't happen soon, phew don't hold your breath it'll be like road rage on the M1, MK

I lost a customer to Rico about 6 months ago all over a quote to Exeter, their director won't answer the perimeter gates (because his drive is about a mile and a half) so none of the more reputable next dayers would deliver without a sig, they thought my sameday quote was too much they rang around and got a quote from Rico for all their work at 80plm, I was asked to match it, I said no way its like comparing chalk & cheese. 6 months on, I'm starting to get most of it back, they are still sending items with them but they are "can go wrong" jobs because apparently they have!
