Does anyone have any advice on ferries to Sardinia? There seem to be a number of different ones available...

Ring some one like Freight link or Harbour shipping... Just checked Freight link web site for you... They have a couple of links to Sardinia

Thanks. Freight Link quoted me £395 + VAT each way for the Genoa - Porto Torres ferry. I've had another quote of £562 + VAT return for the same route, but I've heard a rumour than you might be able to do it for about £100 each way on a different route... That might not be for commercial usage though.

Hope you have air con and a reliable van?

Just thought i'd remind you of Easter and the fact it's a staunch Catholic island. (Family in Sardinia/Italy and it is their big time of year.) Watch out for any holiday/hold ups. Be a fantastic journey to do.

Good advice LKY. Thanks.

AJM, no aircon! Although I don't think it'll be too warm with the seasons the way they are this year. I was in Prague airport a few days ago, and the forecast was chilly for all European destinations. They're still on winter tyres in Prague.

The van may be older than most but it's never let me down yet... fingers crossed... but I'll have my mechanic give it another inspection before I go. I think all that needs doing is to replace a leaky shock. I do look after the old gal!

For anyone interested, I'm taking the Livorno - Olbia ferry, for which I've been quoted £210 + VAT each way by Freightlink. I think they've given me a discount for being a member of Courier Exchange. Some ferries, e.g. the Genoa - Porto Torres route, aren't running at this time of year.
