I think so, we can get a better rate, pity is the ferries but is doable.....

From my experience the mileage rate is the same as UK work, but if you know the right people you can get co loads and backloads which starts to make it quite profitable....bit like uk work to be honest BUT you're doing more miles.....i'e each job is in the 100's +

The problem is the majority of the costumers want to pay really little, some of them if possible FREE. In my point of view I do not go bellow than £1.40per mile for European, or that or I just not do the the job.

Seems fair as a price to the consumer BUT as a subbie i think you'll find it hard to get anything more than a £1 per mile.

I know some of our colleagues they do for less than £1, in my point of view is wrong. I had two weeks ago a job to go to Portugal witch is 1300 miles to go and another 1300 miles to return and the costumer wanted to me to do the job for about 20pence a mile, I told him not possible. This is a thing some people want a fast and reliable job for peanuts.... For peanuts I stay at home, were I don't spend diesel and ferries...

Hello Carlos. I'm looking for people to join me in co loading CX going to Europe on the same van. That'll save money on ferry. Then someone will be waiting in Europe to tranship the pallet on their own van and wait for the business to open, if needed.

I've already got one van insured for Europe, and getting the second one.

Prices are low, about £0.90 /mile is what I get per load, but you might consider registering for VAT on the flat rate scheme, you get to keep 8% in the 20%VAT you charge.

Tell me what you think about it.

Also 2vans are needed to go to Europe quite often, need a partner in that.

Cheers!
