Has anyone had dealings with Camden authority in regards to parking contravention?

I would be eager to hear any experiences.

To summarise, one of my vans parked in Lancing Street NW1. He had a small parcel to collect, and stopped outside the company, whereby a concierge outside, told him to 'wait there, and he would tell the relevant person to bring the item outside' My vans are tracked, and we can see that he was in Lancing Street for a grand total of 2 minues!

I had a parking penalty notice, for £65 arrive in June, which I promptly appealed against, but heard nothing until I got a notice from Northampton County Court, last month for failure to pay a fine of £205.00. To briefly summarise I called Camden, was told they agreed with me, I should have had notice that my appeal was unsuccessful, and it was a 'training issue' on their part. On their advice I wrote to the court and they cancelled the summons.

Last week I had a notice from Camden saying that as a gesture of goodwill I would now only be charged £135.00.

I called them and was told that the decision is final and have another week to pay it, I emailed to the 'debt recovery officer' last week and again on monday of this week and have not yet had a reply or a 'read receipt'

I am cautious after being stiched up a few years ago when I appealed a mobile camera speeding fine and ended up still with 3 points but a fine of £350 instead of £60 that I could have paid before attending court!

Anyone hd dealings with Camden? PM please if you dont want it public.

Only for going in a bus lane at 6pm at night only went into it say 30ft length, because the traffic lights where not letting any cars through, and where I was delivering closed at 6.30 pm, phoned them up a few times, they are not human, they wouldnt even talk about it, then why should they, they only want your money that was 5 years ago the name Camden winds me up anyway good luck.

I was in Camden a few backs and pulled over to the side of the road because i couldn't find a building, I was in the van with the engine running for no more than 60 seconds, week later I had a £120 fine come through the post, I appealed against it but am still waiting to hear back, from them, the picture shows my van driving not even parked!! Piss take or what??? What are the rules with courier deliveries? Can you park on double yellows to deliver? If so does the van have to be sign written with your company name?

Did you stop at any time on Red Lines????.

I did a delivery many years ago and the shop i was delivering to was fronted by "red lines". I found a side street but could still only park on the red lines by about 2 feet.

I was gone for 3 minutes and job done.

A week or so later i received a PCN for stopping on the red lines, I called them and said i think i had a break down but couldn't remember, Hang on a moment sir i will check, The woman then said no sir i have just viewed the footage and you were delivering a parcel "How would you like to pay for the ticket?".

It's not a revenue generator honest.

The people who make up the rules, will never be in our situation.
