About £1.30-£1.40, I've spoke to a few vandors who are happy to pay that price for luton van

I think the correct answer should be: as much as your customer is prepared to pay!

There is nothing set in stone. I do know however that my colleague in the West Midlands charges a minimum of £2.00 / loaded mile for his and has stacks of work.

I hired one to go to Stornoway a while ago, and it struggled to do more than 18 mpg. So they are not cheap to run!

Standard rate for us is £1.50 plm. This for both retail and trade, The running costs are higher especially twin wheelers and tail lift servicing etc. Also with the aerodynamics of a block of flats.

The price I gave was for sub-contacting. If it was an end user, I would be looking at around £1.80

Hire company put there prices up by almost double what I was paying. I was struggling to get insurance for LWB van, so decided to go back to small van. I will sub-contact out the bigger van jobs now tho. I put a couple of jobs on here about 2 weeks ago and daft prices- over £100 for a 28 mile job lol
