Hi all

I am thinking of starting up as a self employed courier, can any one out there tell me if it is worth while?

I am also thinking of signing up to mtvan's pro account, does any one have this and is there a fair bit of work coming through.

Any info is greatly appreciated

Thanks Ade

I've got some good contacts who know I can be relied on, but must admit, no new ones in the past 12 months!

There is nothing wrong with this site. It is simple to use and works well. However, if OD's don't use the site then Vendors, like me, get fed up of posting jobs that get no quotes. It's cheap, it's simple. Don't blame Admin they have provided a platform that works and can evolve. Only you guys can make the site work and at a fraction of CX fees. Use it or lose it.

Yeah think i tend to agree with that 3D, i do suspect there are a couple of people that come on the site that have some kind of axe to grind and would ultimately like to see it fail. Have had a few jobs from here and made some good contacts, not sure it is worth the price of Pro though at the moment.

Didn't I see a message from admin, some while ago, that all members, past and present can go Pro for free?

Thanks for that link I missed the announcement.

Funnily enough as the member numbers and activity have dropped I'm getting more success with my posted work, go figure :-)

Maybe the quality of members still here is the reason.

True Mike, I think the fly-by-nights have a go at being a courier and find it's harder than they thought and disappear, and us old arses just keep going.

Steve, thanks for posting about this. I did it once before but missed this one. Will be putting my journeys on here again now.

Dennis, thanks for the link.

I thought go 'pro' was an advert for toothpaste.
