I fail to see how making people aware of something that sounds a bit suss should get edited off a thread, the thread then being closed for further comment.

There are dozens of couriers out there who look on this and other forums for advice AND for warnings of those to avoid and mistrust.

When a number of experienced couriers start questioning the ethics of another, surely we have the right to voice an opinion, and ask questions of whoever it is we're referrring too.

They then have the right to reply, and to justify what it is they're doing or being accused of.

To edit out legitimate information, that is out there for all to see (if they know where to look) is a bit like big brother don't you think?

With all the factual information infront of you, you can then make a decision whether you want to deal with that person(s) or choose to ignore and carry on

When I see a Company, whose directors have been involved in several other Businesses that are dissolved, then I get suspicious. One or two could be put down to bad luck, but when we get into double figures then it starts looking suss.

Due diligence i call it

Freedom of speech is OK providing what you are saying is what the censors want to hear ...

We moderate stuff even handedly, and everyone is welcome to their point of view, so talk of censorship is not appropriate.

Free speech is fine as long as it's within the forum rules.

I'm sure we've all seen people being shredded on forums, with the shredding usually being in the form of a whole load of posts suggesting stuff, little by little, none of which may individually be over the line, but which together add up to a negative picture which isn't necessarily deserved, and is then served up by Google for life.

And the shredding is usually from competitors.

I'm sure everyone wants to know that they, when it comes to their turn, will be protected from that kind of treatment on here.

If you have a good point to make, maybe a good positive warning genuinely meant for the protection of others, and if you can back it up, then go ahead. If you think (ie know really) that it's on dodgy ground but still needs saying, then ask us first.

We won't have cyber-bullying on here, whoever it's aimed at.
