Courier Tracking App & Controllers’ Map

If you’re a courier looking for work and contacts, you can now increase your chances of being noticed in the right place at the right time by using one of the mtvan apps (iOS/Apple or Android).

You can set your app be tracked while at home and while out working, and your tracking location will appear on the map on mtvan. You can add your status to your tracking location, such as “Empty”. Your vehicle type will also appear next to your location.

As well as making you stand out from the crowd for controllers looking for a courier, you will also get alerts for nearby work posted on mtvan.

The tracking map on mtvan (shown above) shows the locations of couriers using the mtvan tracking apps. (Available on iOS and Android).

The list on the left of the map shows the latest 1000 members to be logged in to mtvan (or to have their details checked and updated by us). Controllers can search by name or location, and by vehicle type.

Obviously it makes sense to make sure that your Profile shows accurately the actual vehicle(s) you drive or have available, so that you can be included in the search results. It also makes sense to log in to mtvan on a regular basis so that you keep yourself on the map.

We will soon be adding the location data to members’ Profiles, and also will be creating a “fleet” tracking map so controllers can track their own couriers.
