Dickies safety boots, black cargo trousers, (shorts for the one day of summer we get), black polo shirt, black fleece, hi viz vest and hi viz jacket.

Decided to go the whole hog and get business name embroidered / screen printed too. Wasn't that expensive either.

Depends on what jobs you do I would think, dragging pallets around polo shirts and cargo trousers are fine, if you are standing in a top office looking like a bag of crap you get treated like you look, shirt and tie works for me and also if you have to run the gauntlet of the power crazed muppet on the fork lift then he's not quite sure if your a driver or a 'boss' so you do get unloaded quicker!!

Depends on what sector the client operates in. It would not be good turning up at certain professional organisations dressed in shorts for example! It is the same as turning up in a scruffy dirty van. It is all about image and presentation in some areas. in certain circumstances it does not matter at all, but shorts in my opinion should be saved for the beach.

Hi AJM

Of course we dress like that all the time. A couple of yeas ago 2009/2010 .... We were trucking items upto Perth/Aberdeen. It was -20 some nights. But we aint stupid enuff not to carry winter / thermal flip flops. Theres nothing like cold toes when you have to get out of the vehicle. ... Brake downs and stuck in traffic durring those cold spells.. Thats where a night heater comes into it...And a bunk a decent quilt, TV, DVD and Sat TV and of course a kettle, Creature comforts help keep your mind off the cold.

Mr. RLT

Not trying to out do anyone but have Blue chip companies that use us regular. None have ever complained about our attire and the odd one or two who dress code means we are under dressed without our Hi Vis and Hard hat are easily pleased. Its Budgie smuglers or Speddo's for the beach..but we only wear those when the tempeture rises above -0c and the icebergs have passed by
