new accounts

just had a conversation with a guy who says he has been trying to join mtvan for the last few months but cant as according to him mtvan are no longer accepting new accounts. Can admin confirm this and if this is true can you tell the membership why?

It took an age to join for me.

I joined in March and I am still trying to get in touch with them about conformation of my home address.

They say my card has been sent but its not been received, I try phoning leaving messages, emailing phoning again and more emailing, also use the contact us with in the site more times than i care to remember but all i get is unanswered phone messages and unreplied mails and PM's

Not really incredibly impressive realy.

I have a feeling they have given up and just not bothering.

No Bob I think its probably worse than that, this guy has actually been told that they are no longer accepting new account so in my book that is pretty serious, I think its time for admin to fessup and let people know if one of their revenue streams is being whittled away. I actually paid money to be on this site and I expect it to be run properly otherwise I will be asking for a refund. I have made some good contacts through here and had some good work off it but that is becoming more and difficult. Think the word NEGLIGENCE springs to mind as to the way the site has been left to fester.

Well there could be light at the end of the tunnel. I post links to this site on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn etc. Lets all try to get the name around and attract more vendors & Od's. It's only the members that can save the site, it's up to us! Although I've been a member of the Shed for a few years now I've posted loads of jobs and only had a couple of bids. There is less work posted than on here. Don't let Courier Exchange, with their huge fees, win.

I agree with you and I always mention I am on mtvan and shed5 on all my social media, but the problem is this ship needs a captain but it seems the captain has jumped ship, or at least left the wheelhouse. He doesn't even answer direct questions anymore. Its a crying shame, and very frustrating.

The shed is starting to get a little more lively, but the big yellow one is still pushing forward. Would be nice if mt or shed could pick up again but i have a feeling the owners of this site are just letting there ISP contract run out as there not answering any attempt to contact them.

Pity really as People are staring to call me from here. Maybe everything will pop back to Shed 5 when the lights go out here.

At least your on the big yellow one Bill so our paths cross from time to time. Its always a pleasure.

As you say it would be a pity if this site falls apart as I was looking for more strings to my bow to help source work. But i guess one door closes another opens I shall survive.
