Was in a chippy today and wanted large cod and a cone of chips.

I had just a fiver but noticed the cost was £5.20 so i asked the server if i could have 50%less chips and pay just the fiver.

She consulted the boss who refused... So i walked and spent my money elsewhere.

It reminded me that it doesn't matter what business your in, if you are unable to make a compromise then your customer will go elsewhere

For the sake of 20p they lost my £5 plus any future business, yet if they had accepted my offer i would have returned and the goodwill created would have been immense (as well as my belly)

Ha ha, trying to do a deal a chippy! Fair play mate. On that note, I'm calling it a day and I'm off to get fish, chips and mushy peas.

After a drop at the Hilton in Hastings I went round the corner to the nearest chippy I was able to park outside and found they did a "buy one get one free" on fish n chips all the time, told them I only wanted one regardless of the size (I guessed they wouldn't be on the large size) they wouldn't have it, it was cheap enough at one for the price so I ended up putting the second one in the bin as I couldn't find any one needy enough to give it to.

I had an idiot in a supermarket refuse to sell me a bag of wine gums before now. She said it was because I had a small child with me and it was company policy not to sell alcohol to anyone accompanied by children.
