This post is probably controversial but here goes

There are many posters and posts regarding a trade association and the need for one, Also that the constant harping on about insurance and do you have or have not the correct insurance, Therefor a suggestion to those whom are more concerned with being associated with a governing bodies, there are several out there that you can join get the same as you are seeking, there is the road haulage association, the b. A. R British association of removal company, s,. F. T. A, THE MOTOR SPORT SUPPIERS ASSOCIATION, IATA, THE WHEEL BENDERS AND SHUTTLE COCK MAKERS ASSOCIATION, or even start one nominate a chair secretary and treasurer, ask hrh prince Michael of Kent he seems to be free since the aa went private,

Insurance seems to have had the sh 1 t kicked out of it as a topic on here, yes I know its important but F. F. S Move on

There are more pressing thing to worry about like D. P. C. P that comes into force next week for those that drive 3.5 t and above The fact that the dsa only have 10 lady's answering the hot line to the dpcp and that the are only open from 08.00 till 12.00 that is 1 lady per 500,000 drivers My personal view that is more pressing than how and with what joe blogs runs his business

Majority on here run small vehicles, so tbh they wouldn't be interested in 10 ladies on a blower from 9-12..

What I meant was driver c. P. C, the point again went into the ether, those who drive a vehicle over 3.5 tonne gvw for hire and reward without the driver C. P. C qualification are illegal as of the 10.09.2014 the fact that a government agency are so understaffed that it takes 6 days to get through to them for a card they should have sent within 7 days putting me out of work until it arrives ort of hurts, cost implications are massive as companies that employ drivers that are waiting for the cards to arrive will have to use the services of agency drivers and guess the prices have just gone up This may not affect some on here but it affects me that's all that counts.

Yep pretty shameful behaviour on behalf of the DSA... But having said that you have only had at least 3.5 years to sort ur card out, the rush for dq cards was predicted years ago as firms were daft or arrogant enough to think that drivers being stopped from working wouldnt happen.

That wasn't a personal dig by the way.
