Hi Guys, have a lwb van delivering to Bridgend in Wales at 10pm tonight, for the delivery we will be using the M50 and avoiding the toll, however we have a collection in High Wycombe at 8am Friday morning, am i right in thinking that you only pay the toll on the severn crossing going west bound to get into Wales but not east bound to get out?

Just greatfull the journey wasnt the other way round or the driver would have been sat at the road side fitting a snorkel to the van, as AGM stated - robbed would be a better word

£12.40 now for a van, and isn't it nice how they count small vans the same as large vans not as cars. And still cash only.

Twelve sodding pounds forty! They should do it the other way around and charge to let you out of Wales. At least then it would feel like you were getting more value for money.

Don't know why people are so alarmed at what the tolls cost? It just should be factored into the quote in the first place.

All tolls and congestion charges should always be included in the quote so I too don't see a problem

Speed and rlt I know where you coming from, I went over in my very small Fiat grande punto van about 4 years ago, I had to pay double what the guy had to pay who was in a brand new range rover, know wonder us couriers are poor.

If we use a toll crossing then we do build it into the cost of the job but we were empty when using the crossing so i couldnt charge anyone, £12.40 is a bit steep for a driver to pay when they might only have a fiver or a tener on them for a bite to eat and the driver was over nighting in the van at High Wycombe, i was asking about the toll across the severn because i would have given the driver the cash, all the drivers carry company cards but as myvancan said - they dont accept cards

Hi Gas, got 5 bikes (not for the business) but cant find a bike on the market that will carry 5 pallets - could have sent a pallet on each bike i suppose but we dont live in India, come to think of it if i did live in india i could have got all 5 pallets on a honda 50 :-)

Don't accept cards, how many people must go across with a card and no cash, I don't carry cash, yet I can got to my local co-op spend 50pence and pay by card on the self checkout.

They do accept cards now. They have since the Ryder Cup.
