We have just had 3 new LWB RWD Transits on hire for a couple of weeks.

Some thieving scrote has found a way of nicking the spare wheel using bolt croppers to drop the spare wheel carrier, this then not only needs a new wheel and tyre at £150 it also needs a new wheel carrier and fittings at a further £117.

Why, oh why do hire companies not follow Ryder's example of NOT supplyiing a spare wheel at all and simply calling out ATS to bring a complete wheel & tyre out to an inflation problem. Punctures really don't happen all that often.

All depends which part of Lancashire you live. My old van got broken into whilst it was on my driveway. The cheeky F**ks chiselled the lock out on the passenger door, but to find the van was empty. I have cctv front and back now at my house, but it's hidden so you would never know it was there. These people need to get a job rather than robbing of us honest workers with a life

That's Greater Manchester for you, don't try and tell me you're in Lancashire these people will never get a job. Because they never get punished and stealing is more profitable.

I think he meant that most people in Lancashire wouldn't be able to operate the bolt cutters. Of course in Cheshire we would get the butler to do it.

In Norfolk they would take the whole van with a tractor and drag chain.
