just been asked by one of my customers to do run's into Europe I have CMR limit to 250k how would you work out the price for a european job

I charge £1:15 per loaded mile plus the ferry or train which is £80 +VAT each way. If I get a return load I charge half the train rate each way plus half the mileage rate for the return trip. So its still works out profitable.

For the sake of a few quid aint it worth using tunnel so much quicker. Depending on where ya going in Europe.

Well got my first job of the company that inquired about running over to France it's actually cheaper to go via the tunnel than the ferry so bonus.
