1383Yes, a couple. Are you having problems then?

72The work has really slowed in the past 2 weeks.
Harding Direct
2148That's nothing unusual for this time of year!

2596Shahdat I note you live in St Albans and yet crown are based in Tamworth. I think that may reveal the answer to your question.
McDonald Logistics
2821They are probably a bit disappointed with your response times.

Perhaps they have customers with collections in and around London heading back to Birmingham area. If so then he'd be ideally located. Seems a bit pointless having all your subbies in one location (i.e. near you as you're implying) and unlikely that Crown Courier's work is going to normally be pickup from their location.
Andrews Services
1833Not that we would entertain any work from crown couriers nor do we intend on doing so, but they do have work from various locations of the uk, like most of us do. Therefore subbies in all regions are required!

Where have I implied near me? Read the post carefully admin. I find it strange that you jump on my posts to point things out.
Long Services
10314He hasn't implied near you as in you... He's saying near you as in near them.
Rather like me having work in London but not being based in London... I have regulars down there to cover the work for me... I think that's hat he's saying Mr Geee.
I have carried out a few jobs for crown couriers from different locations across the UK, but yes they have been a bit quiter this month. Which is expected
Holland Logistics
1404I was the Regional Manager for Crown June 2011 to June 2012... Keep your eyes on my continuing story on the forum!
Walsh Logistics
2596Which region? As i was kindly reminded earlier they have many regions
Lewis Express
1049They post work all round the country. Quite a lot i might add. I done a job for them last week
There terms are 45 days eom
Martin Logistics
1018Hah, I done two! So nyer!
Holland Logistics
1404Manchester... The only have one office in Tamworth... I resigned due to operational differences
They called me to arrange an interview at their tamworth office, after several minutes of ME asking the relevent questions and finding they want to pay 45 eom and a mileage rate of 89pplm for an xlwb i kindly pointed out that on those terms she will get muppets, she then replied "so you think my subbies are muppets?" I said yes and hung up
McDonald Logistics
282145 days eom? Why do people accept that?
Thorpe & Sons
5507Mine is 30 days or find someone else. I had a firm a couple of weeks ago call me and offered me 45plm for small van. You can imagine what i said.
Gordon Logistics
935They do a lot of work from airports as I've had a couple of decent jobs from the big yellow, got a good rate aswell but like you say 45 eom but if your not happy with terms or can't wait that long you don't work for them in my eyes
Dyer Ltd
166Crown post quite a lot of jobs on the big yellow mostly from airports and have done a few jobs for them
Big yellow?
Andrews Services
1833Yes, the site which you are a member of.
Walsh Logistics
2596If you register with them as a subbie they will give you a driver number and you can do as many or as few jobs as you like for them... That way you will be on their books and you will be paid a lot quicker than 45 days
Martin Logistics
1018It's three weeks in arrears if you become their subbie. But would they let you pick up other work? Not sure they would.
Walsh Logistics
2596I'm on their list and they call me with job offers when their paid drivers cant cope... I turn as many down as i take
Thorpe & Sons
5507Do they give a decent rate
Martin Logistics
1018I think someone said they pay 59pplm for small van? So "no", basically. I've had better than that out of them off Courier Exchange but not vastly better.
Walsh Logistics
2596In fact the last call i had was could i cover an urgent Bham job approx 4 miles A to B.. I was 10 miles away at the time and said no. They haven't called me for over 3 weeks now... Must be recruiting time again
Walsh Logistics
2596And wouldn't you just know it... After my previous post i had 3 calls yesterday from crown asking of my availability.
