Well it looks like Courier Exchange are putting up there prices by 10% in october. My thought are, who is going to pay the increase and will it be worth paying the extra. Whats your thoughts?

Think you have answered your own question yesterday Darren when you said a lot of people want jobs covering for sweet fanny adams, also Les had a point when he said its been going that way for the last 5 years, I have thought about joining at times but I wouldnt touch it now, good luck.

If they can get away with adding 10%, then anybody subbing jobs of courier exchange should add 10% thats fair dont you think.

That would be fair but in reality, it won't happen. If anything i think they will want a lower price. Good job i have a list of vendors who pay a decent rate

Its called the poor old subbie gets pooer, fuel goes up, insurance goes up, courier exchange goes up, repairs go up, do your prices go up No, I only sub for 2 people now, I have known them for going on ten years they are really good friends now, they insist I have 80 pence a mile, they say they are still making money from using me, I do quite alot long distance work & go into Europe for one of them so he does quite well out of me, and he knows he can trust me, some guys just want a job done cheap has, so long has it gets there eventually thats ok, sorry to say this but your profit is getting less & less amen.

I don't think the 10% increase will put anybody off... They might moan about it but they won't leave simply because they re-coup the subscription many times over. As has been said the site works and unfortunately until this one is redesigned and made to work for both company and o/d then i'm afraid to say it's going nowhere in fact i think the shed is actually above mt now

Are people really moaning about a 10% increase on their subscriptions?

Example - subs - £40 per month - 10% increase = £44 per month. Using the above scenario of adding 10% to a job quote isnt going to get people far neither really is it? A £100 job becomes a £110 job, more than doubling the Courier Exchange price increase for the month. Simple maths. (courier company subs are more than £40 - thats just an example)

If an increase of approx 20p per day is going to make a big difference to couriers on there, then they are most definitely in the wrong business.

If the people you sub for don't pay you a decent rate 75-80p, then that's YOUR choice to work for them, if you don't like it, then don't do it.

From my personal point of view - i think the price increase has come at the wrong time especially with the service over the last 4 months or so and the launch of the new site which has and still is causing problems with little glitches here and there. Maybe should have waited to increase the subs once all the issues had been resolved and its members suggestions had been implemented.
