1 x 2 litre or 2 x 1 litre

Im looking to invest in a flask which can serve coffee/tea or hot tomato soup(heinz) With such a wide range available in most stores,can anyone advise on the best Brand that will keep my hot drinks "piping" hot .

I've got 2 Stanley flasks, 1 litre and 2 litre. They're virtually unbreakable and keep drinks hot all day. I find the 2 litre flask is too big though, and I hardly ever use it. You'd have a job getting through 2 litres of coffee in a day and get your deliveries done on time!!

Buy a 12v kettle, keep bottled water, coffee sachets, noodle boxes, porridge pots in the van!

I use a 1ltr Thermos flask i bought from Asda, & is the best i have ever had.Cost a little extra for the name, but is definitely better than the cheeper versions.

I with Mr SMH on this I have to be be care over what I eat these days but if you cant afford to stop for lunch in a cafe then you might as well stop

Talking of cafes, anyone got a favourite? Have a look at www.transportcafe.co.uk, much cheaper and better quality than motorway services.

I've got a big flask made by Kampa which I got in Norwich Camping & Leisure (they don't have it on their website atm). Easily the best flask I've ever used. Never leaks, very robust and you can still get a good hot cup of tea out of it after 12 hours.

Well i definitely going to take your advice about the better brands not leaking .....i remember a few years back leaving my cheap flask on its side on the passenger seat . I hadn't known it had leaked until my wife sat on said damp patch, her white skirt now a subtle shade of brown.

Talking of cafes ,I notice little chef are trying to bring in trade by offering a butty and drink for just £2.99.

I'm sure [name] means stop at a cafe one you've finished the delivery rather than enroute. If its a long un, i'm guessin he expects you to go without cos I dunno bout you but i wouldn't be too impressed with someone stoppin for a brew with one of my jobs on board!!!

i never stop with goods on board bottled water is the way to go....oh and redbull

Yeh RedBull...they come in their own cans so no need for either 1 x 2 or 2 x 1!!!

Deffo 2 x 2ltr, you can urinate in them when they are empty if you get caught short, the 1ltr ones tend to overflow

Bottles of urine at the side of the road is really disgusting, whilst its quite easy to get caught short leaving them at the side of the road is low, they should dna swab every lorry/van driver that crosses our borders in or out then match em up with the bottles at the side of the road, you never know you might break some unsolved crimes!

I have to tell you boys something I had to give up eating fried food not long ag. o and the temptation is so strong to still stop in the cafe and have a fry up is a B%%%%%d. Its the worse thing I gave up smoking 3 years ago that was easy but this idea of not having a fry up in a cafe is the worst thing to resisit. I still stop in them and have beans on toast and a cup of tea There is something about the aphnoshphere in a cafe . When I used to run water filters to the mines it used to be the same old people and it used to be a good old laugh !! The roads are a lot different these days and life on the roads has followed life and nobody has anytime for anybody ! But in the cafe you will always get talking to somebody so some things have not changed . If your a same day courier and you dont go in the cafe (after you have delivered [name]'s job !!!) Then your not a real courier !!!!

OMG....i am not a real courier then, when on the road i always look for the nearest Pret A Manger for one of their icredibly value for money BLT`s.....................oh and a skinny latte to go
