Weather forecast for november/ december is expected to be sub zero like the winter of 2010.

Cardboard is supposed to be helpful if you're struggling for traction. Or an alternative is to carry some road salt.

Winter tyres are a must. They give much more grip In ice and snow.

Winter tyres are a must, I didnt use them last winter & was ok, I have tried both Winter & all season tyres, the Winter tyres make a bit more noise and work well, only 1 mpg less than summer tyres, all season tyres fairly quiet ok on ice, ok ish on snow, but the Winter tyres give you loads of confidence, dosn`t mean you can drive like an idiot, just get you to places and safely, where a normal tyre wouldnt get your, great on hills too.

Good torch, one that works

Check to make sure you battery is upto winter, sounds daft but a few cold days and a duff battery will let you down, new wiper blades, scraper, di-icer, & drive slow down a touch there are lots of nutters about in bad weather, dont be one of them.

Ow do Mr G you should check out Aldi or Lidl.. One of them do windscreen wash which they quote as having a freeze tempreture of -60c. it cost about £6 a gallon. And of course you can dilute to conditions. Advisable for obvious reasons. Also Costco, should you have a card. Sell a windscreen wash with a brand name with a freeze tempreture of -36c, And that roughly the same price per gallon... Or is that 5 litres these days..?

On the christmassy side of things You can buy in the poundland stores ... An LED lit christmas tree for your dash board which changes colour as you drive. There is also a snow man with simlar lighting, But I had to take my snow man out as he wanted to flash blue most of the time. Both have USB connections. So of course you will need a USB hub to plug them into. And of course the store has thought of that to. So for 3quid Mr.G you can have a christmassy interior in your motor and spread some christmas cheer around your delivery route. I'd just like to point out that my dashboard christmas tree dcoration is the old fashioned one with fairy lights and not LED's
