I have a few questions

1, do you need passport to go to ireland? 2, what checks do they do at the docks? 3, are there any cheap ways to travel there?

Passport requirement depends on your Country of origin.

Eire or Northern Ireland, usually have a security check before boarding boat.

Depends where you are traveling to/from, but price should not matter as surely that is passed on to the customer in giving the quotation for the job?

To Belfast or Dublin?

I think that is the most expensive crossing from Liverpool

But... Price it accordingly if that is the route you want to take
