Go for the Gills Bay to St Margaret's Hope high speed catamaran, enjoy the scenery as well north from Inverness as you drive up. If you don't fancy the trip you could always sub it to me.

What's the height? I tried to contact me ole mucker on the Pentalina to see if he could do any ''offers'' on the fare but he's unobtainable at the mo, will try later as he may be on his days off.

Thats cheap for a Motorhome, would love to know what 'me ole mucker on the Pentalina' could do 4mtr Sprinter.

I lasted 6 weeks up there working in a garage went from scrabster horific travelling up there id go from aberdeen to kirkwall and have 6 hours kip on the ferry far easier

When he's back on duty I'll ask him ( might be a few bob in it for me as well for promoting his services, that would be more than I'm making with the van!)

The best thing about the bad weather up there is the bar is nearly mt so more room for the real sailors amongst us. (make mine a double)
