Level 4 Aviation or UK National Air Cargo Security Training at Level B as it is now known, is basically an excuse for people to take even more of your hard earned... Its total bollox and means you have sat in a room and watched a video about how to and how not to do stuff with certain types of cargo. For watching the video you get a certificate... Whoopeedoo

Its all about moving known and unknown cargo, that is cargo that isn't officially yet in the UK (hasn't been thru customs) so you need level 4 (or level B) to officially move this type of cargo. It has to remain in your locked van, and you'e not supposed to stop or deviate your route in any way until you get to the destination. The recipient has to see you unlock your door and get the goods out, failure to do this means you've ballsed up and they can can and should then refuse the delivery.

Some customers insist you have it, so we have

That is not entirely true. Level B allows you to move the cargo but not actually man handle it yourself. Level d does allow you to handle it. Also you can stop and collect other collections along the route providing you keep a running log and physically posses all the broken seals. Known cargo can be tricky but as speed courier states its all a joke... And they change the rules and regs whenever they feel like it.

I stand corrected and may i also point out the misspelling in my explanation... The recipient does not do the can can when refusing the delivery... That would just be silly

Once you have acquired the certificate, is it then your prized possession for life or do you have to watch a video periodically to renew it?
