Boris Johnson wants legislation so in London all LGV'S to be fitted with side bars to stop cyclists rolling under in accidents.

He said we don’t think we have the power to ban them, but what we do have the power to do is "charge them a lot of money to go about their business"; enough money to be prohibitive. Essentially, the mayor doesn’t want any LGV not fitted with this pretty basic safety equipment to be in London.”

I know its not safe to be a cyclist in the smoke but going there fairly frequently there are quite a few who ride around taking all kinds of stupid risks that they bring it on themselves. You need 6 pairs of eyes down there.

I was told by a copper in the smoke that as from Jan 1st there is to be a purge on vehicles crossing the cycle lane boundary including the advance cycle stop line at traffic lights £60 & 3 points Kerrrrrrrching
