Coming up the M5 friday and just before junction 9 the signage stated that the A1 junction 39 was congested and slow... What relevance is that to a driver on the M5 whom if i was heading for the A1 would probably reach that junction 3 hours later !

This irrelevance regularly happens on mway signage.. With technology almost instantaneous and traffic updates in "real time" what are these muppets running the highways agency doing with their time? And how many times have you slowed to 40mph for congestion for it to suddenly end just 200 yards later !

arghhhhhhhhhh

Great and good for you. We subbed a job out 5 mins ago for a small van which was over the £1 per mile mark.

What relevance does that have? None.

We pay what is required to get the work done, and done properly.

He's on a wind up guys ... Do not bite!

The over £1 mark is for a job into North london - just worked out it was actually £1-63 per loaded mile, but london has its own rate card! And it was a load and go asap this afternoon!
