Honest opinion on my new logo? (in profile pic)

Does this look like 'CAMAN' (as in, a crocodile). Or if I hadn't said it, would you never have thought of it?

Designing a logo for camvan is harder than i was expecting. I'd be grateful for any input, but unless the feedback is terrible, i'll keep it until anything better comes to mind.

i think the colours are too bold and clash . soften the blue and the van will stand out easier

I like it...try it in light and dark green...and show us what that looks like

I agree with mr G, still have to design a logo for when I go mobile in December , and find a good web site man.

Thanks for the feedback. I agree the colours were bold, but, Mr G and Moray, I'm surprised you say they clashed as red and blue are supposed to be complimentary colours. Bold = good. Clash = bad. I've toned them down a bit by introducing some grey. The difference isn't massive but I think it's enough to take the brashness out. What do you reckon?

Thanks Speed - I'll try the greens, but I'm quite keen to stick with the blue and red because I have plans to continue the colour scheme elsewhere.

Moray, don't touch Yellsites with a bargepole. I experienced rubbishness beyond description, and probable internal corruption.

Clashing as fighting for my eyes attention ..therefore i want to look away rather than look deeper into the design. thats what i mean by softening with one of the colours being a shade or 2 lighter should help. My son is a graphic designer and has produced logos for many small companies and their branding for websites . He is constantly asking for my opinion on his work so im happy to give my opinon here too
