636Hmmm, I sometimes wonder if at some stage everyone will end up working for one mega company and that company will effectively become the state. One day we might be Google Britain and the yanks will be United States of Google.

132If you juggle the letters 'Google' it spells 'Skynet'... bet you didnt realise that!

636Imagine the conspiracy theories if 'Google' could be rearranged to form some kind of latin word such as 'power' etc.
Sadly my school didn't offer Latin lessons so I'll never know.

For 'Retail Sameday' (this is what this is I think), then perhaps. This appears to be similar to Shutl.
For all sameday work then no, this is only about shop->customer?

Google have quite controversially competed with online (viable) startup businesses with free tools which eventually monopolized the market place... And then later dropped their own service when they decided it wasn't of any benefit to them. Google Reader was a recent one IIRC.

132With Googles deep pockets and technical know how, I suspect other courier related services could be a under threat. Thats if they decide to branch out into the United States of Great Britain.

636Suppose it's just natural that all companies want to take control of every market - just look at Tesco.
Thing is, Google are far from being the richest company in the world so you could easily say that Apple or Exxon Mobil will set up a courier company.
I'm not going to worry too much about it.

Well to be honest. I am worried.
I think that Google are onto me. They must have gotten wind of my dominance of the courier market in Coventry with my little Vauxhall Combo and are trying to take my market share.
Damn you Google! (shaking my fist in the air) :)
