369I've got a plug in ir transmitter for my smartphone ,plus an app to fly my heliocopter, surely its not too much a leap to adapt it to the transit. We could watch and steer using the highways agency live camera feed.<br>

10314so you're going driverless?<div>Remote control couriers...that'll cut costs for sure but i'm not convinced</div>
<p>I had a quick look a few weeks ago at the mileage you can do on a full charge on these vans.</p><p>50 - 80 miles before another full charge is required!</p><p>Take me nearly a week to get to london.</p><p>Would have to change profile to "SameWeek Couriers"</p><p>Long way to go before these vehicles are a viable option for anyone never mind couriers.</p>
Williams Express
242lol you would think by know they would go further, really isn't the future yet.

10314harly green either is it as the leccy comes from power stations that burn fossil fuels!!!!!<div>Bleedin daft idea</div>
Williams Express
242Not only that , but the areas where the batterys are built are destroyed plus the cost in moving them from said area to europe costs a fortune, i think the only time this would be any use will be when the Batterys can go further, and be charged by them selves threw a mixture of solar power and using some kind of kerrs recharge as used in F1 to create a boost .. so no over nite work lol
In all truth, I don't think the technology is far enough advanced to be worth purchase for courier use. The new Renault ZE Kangoo is probably the best of the electric commercials available but even so, this can barely manage 100 miles before it needs recharging.<div><br></div><div>A hybrid (with tech similar to the Prius) would be far better an option.</div>
