I think is counted for 3 and off after 4. You have to pay for a new Licence mind you.

Also when i type Licence why does it say i am spelling it incorrectly, but not when i am trping it the american way.

Totting up process is for 3 years, on your licence for 4 years and the robbing Insurance Industry need disclosure for last 5 years.

If you have outdated points on your licence and don't want to pay the £20 for their removal simply send your licence to DVLA and tell them moved address to a friend or family members address.

When you get your new clean licence wait a couple of weeks and then send it back again informing them that you have moved back.

Its free that way.

I changed addresses waited until my points were due to be removed then applied for address change and licence came back all clean, although problem is an over zealous copper may not be too happy if vehicle is registered & still insured to what appears to be old address

I do believe £20 to remove points is a rip off, you always just cross them out
