07448 286617... Is it a scam...

Any one else recieving phone call from this number regarding work to Holland.

The guy ringing say he has a truck broked down with pallets of Plastic on board.

He's willing to pay cash for the job and cover my cost to get to his broken down vehicle.

But Im a long long way from where his vehicle may be broken down. Ive asked for some contact details, name and land line number. But he's going to have to get his boss to call back...?

Any one else come across this today or recently..

Most mobile numbers used in business when Googled will bring up something this one doesn't

I know... Thats why Im asking is any one else aware of this.

Sorry if that sounded obvious but what I meant was without a check able number, cash sounds dodgy, you'll travel miles to vehicle only to be told he hasn't got any on him.

WELL... Im guessing that asking for a name and land line number put this fella off... Its been nearly 4 hours siince he went to speak to his boss ..... So

I conclude

As much as I would like to agree with you Mr. MK. But there is more to the story than Ive put on here...But I simply didnt want to write a novel.. Anyway ..

I cant for the life of me think why this number would ring some one nearly 300 miles from where his truck had broken down MR Zenith for one is ckoser to hand and Im sure there are plenty more in Kent and the London area who could quite easily cover the job

Why didnt his boss ring me personaly... Im sure hehe has a works mobile phone. He could have saved a hell of a lot of time ringing me rather thanusing a third party passing messages back and forth. Asking how many vans I had. Etc etc.

They could have called AET Transport in Kent couldn't they.

Why did I want to ring back and ask the questions DJ... I'd all ready asked the obvious ones... Im not that hard up for work I would want to involve myself or any one else in a possible scam for a days wages. I charge more for my work as an O/D than it seems a lot of you O/D do on mtvan.

I sent emails out to various O/D's and companys yesterday giving the a heads up on what might just be some kind of illegal activity that might involve a courier in the dock. Given by the emails which have come back this morning, I wasnt the first and it looks like it started Friday

Just thought if you were that curious about it you would of rang the number back... Not having a pop at you appreciate the heads up.
