699I know this time of year is always quiet BUT this has been the quietest Jan / Feb for 5 years for us. I'm sure it will pick up soon.

Probably got enough ODs in his network to cover the reduced workload at this time of year - that's one of the problems of an exchange site like MTvan putting too much importance on a single vendor

3440No I wasn't really talking about courier expert, I was talking in general.
The jobs on here usually also appear on Shipley, Anyvan, Freight Alert, etc. It seems to be just another courier auction site with the job going to the lowest "cowboy courier" bidder
Thorpe & Sons
5507Some jobs appear on Courier Exchange aswell. Always seems to be the same member on there that posts them aswell.
Walsh Logistics
2596Seems like the expert has saturation coverage then

10314There's more than one culprit, and it seems to me the reason its done is cos they have yet to find one that truly works for them. If they had one that did, then they wouldn't be posting on several sites... Stands to reason.
So I would suggest its up to each and every exchange site to make sure there's no need to "multi-post" be upping their game

729Lots of jobs from the expert are now appearing on vehotrans, if they want jobs doing on the cheap by the anyvan/Shiply members then so be it but i would rather pay more and get my customers delivery done by somebody i trust or have had good reviews off other courier companies. I personally think those bidding sites are a joke especially the amount that some drivers are bidding to get the work. A few weeks ago i did an experiment on one of these sites, i had a van going to london and was looking for a backload so i looked on said site and noticed a 3 piece suite to come out of london to go to an address not a million miles away from my warehouse, so i put a starting bid in of £100 and a minimum price in of £70 thinking that once the suite is on the van there wouldnt be much room for anything else but i would of been happy to get the price of a tank of fuel because i was going back empty anyway. The bidding commenced and saw it go down below my low price of £70 within minutes, i continued to watch the bidding and over the next 2 days it went down to £12.99! WHERE IS THE SENSE IN THAT?
It just makes no sense at all

£12.99 that's still quite expensive, I so a pallet to rome on one of them sites 250kg to it had gone has low has £39.00
I have seen a 4 bed house move, 185 miles with 2 stops on the way with a bid of £165. I stopped watching after that so no idea how much it went for or where the contents ended up.

Would you send your documents with a guy who does removals, I wouldn't if you want cheap you normally get cheap.
