The combined company will pass [business] in size. As [business] grows, consumers and businesses will likely pay more to ship packages because there will be less competition around the globe.

All good news for us i think.
[business] attempted to buy out [business] a few yrs ago & [business] held on to there fort looks like the ever growing competion out there has made it harder for [business] to compete against & forced them in to a sell out to [business].
The transfer over is gonna be Intresting with loads of parcels going missing forcing the customers to use Sameday knowing that there goods shall arrive safely, but for [business] could not have times it better in time for the Olympics being the main logistical partner of the 2012 Olympic games in London.

Well in a slowing economy the easiest way to get growth is to buy it.
Acquasitions give you a load more customers, but you don't then need 2 of everything, so redundancies follow...but if i had a spare £4.5 billion i'm sure i could make a lot more use of it than that!!!!!
