Tiger Express Despatch

A warning to all...

I quoted £350 for a job posted by Tiger Express Despatch for a run from Edinburgh-Carlisle-Aberdeen and got a call from Dave Brook who is I assume the owner of this company. I collected 20 or so boxes from Edinburgh and headed to Carlisle where I had arranged to meet Mr Brooks on the phone , I called him on nearing Carlisle and he asked if I could maybe meet him further down as he was unsure and had never been this far up country before or a long time ago, I said ok and told him that it would cost him extra 60mile round trip further on.

Met up with him at Tebay truckstop and swapped loads, asked him about payment and he said "invoice me and I will sort it when I get back" I think ok fine i will do that guy seems ok at face value.

Now it looks like I have been stitched up, the phone number on here and the number he used to contact me initially are all either switched off or unavailable, I had contact with him but not any longer so I am down my time and fuel costs. It would be nice to know if any one who has undertaken jobs he has posted has been paid by him....I doubt i will see this money.

if you have no joy then put a claim into moneyclaim cost you £35 i think and this sends a ccj warning them to pay up or else they goto to court

Can see that court action is the only way, but when he is moving from bed-sit to bed-sit it can be a bit hard!!!!!!

Hi Steve, I also quoted for a job from Lincoln to Glasgow overnight, on the way back he text me to see if I would pick up at Birkenhead for delivery to Northampton services I agreed and duly met him, I also asked about payment and same reply invoice me and I will pay you.    I think that I have to put it down to experience and only do work for people I know and trust. He had only been on this site since April! I ought to have known better!!!

OK, I have been in fact been contacted about Blue Tiger Sameday Limited. The name suggests that perhaps this is the same operation as Tiger Express Despatch, however I can't find anything to support this.

Just to confirm, Tiger Express is removed from mtvan and have not been seen online for some time. Blue Tiger was a member but has not been seen online for years.
