I cant be the only person on here who spends all day arguing with there sat nav. TOMTOM and myself are having a bit of a fall out at the minute as it cant seem to suss i might actually know where im going and only need it for the last mile. Mine has a traffic hunting feature. Sally traffic ( or bobby ) are bemoaning the fact that the m6 is closed southbound and only a screaming knuckle dragging retard would venture without 200 miles of it and yet that bloody sat nav will do its absolute bast to make sure i get to park up with the rest of the north of england on that ribbon of hell. It also doesnt take no sod off as an answer and will spend the rest of the day trying to get me to do U turns at islands. So i need a new `un, any ideas what?

Would you believe i have a TOP GEAR version, yep Jeremy Clarkson himself guides ( and moans ) me into roughly the right area . A s it happens and when you say it it makes alot of sense but to put it into stig mode is to go silent

5507I just brought the Garmin Nuvu-3598. It's a cracking nav with free lifetime maps & traffic. It's got me out of some the most horrific traffic including Fridays. I got it for £270 from argos, most other shops approx. £290

588Thanks for that East Lancs. Looking in the argos catalogue now.

5507I had the nuvi 52 and that was crap so I spent a good price for a good sat nav. It's true what they say "you get what you pay for"

316I have the TomTom classic xxl.. 5" screen which is great. Doesn't do traffic or anything fancy but does the job well. Also run Google maps on my phone alongside TomTom but bloody hell recently Google's been useless at junctions. Heading down the motorway at 70 and it thinks you're stopped at the lights above. Fine if you know where you are, but when you don't and it keeps replanning cause it got your location wrong... I've sworn at Google many times recently. Maybe it's my phone, will use waze or something else next week to see if it's any better. Pity cause it was a great combination.

2250Looks like [name] has found your weakness [name] hahaha. I am now going to accept I am a plonker (dont need you lot to tell me) Always said I would never do a 45 day EOM job. Lack of reading on my phone meant I did one yesterday. Left a bitter taste.
