Driving through Spalding in the pitch black no street lights no house lights black roads brown mud then both your head lights decide to blow, hell does that change the odor in the cab on the way through

But as a dedicated courier as i am i still delivered on time, took the customer ten minutes to realize i was parked on their driveway though

And why do people keep flashing at me, do they think im daft enough to be driving 3 mile an hour in the pitch back with my hazards on and no head lights and not know,

Just had to share that with everyone, to find out if its happened to anyone else, or anything simlar

If your in a French van I can understand, they haven't got the grasp, just yet when it comes to basic electrics my berlingo was terrible so yes I can understand.

Back in black and white telly days, my mates and i drove in convoy from launceston to portreath with his alternator busted (no lights, not lot else) only to be told by local bobby " hey boys your lights not working take care in the lanes"

Why didn't you carry a spare set of bulbs? That's pretty basic stuff.

Both lights? At the same time?

Even better idea, if its French what about towing a spare van behind you preferably not French

Harding Direct

Was it Joe Lucas purveyor of bulbs to the motorcycle industry they used to call 'the prince of darkness'? Spare van behind you? Go really silly and tow an early vivaro!

Like RGM said, how about carrying spare bulbs, although if both bulbs have gone at the same time it could be a fuse but a good courier would have spares in glovebox anyhow

2 bulbs at once is normally the sign of a bad driver, and not having at least 1spare is the sign of a very bad driver, your punishment is to go and work for Citysprint for 12 months to gain some experience.

WOW! Some unexpected replies, Well only placing this up to find out what others have gone through over their time in the business, I find it amazing that there are some super unbreakable motors out there with drivers never suffering such things,

As with experience of carrying spares yes this is true to have them on board along with other items, but not explaining that these were them that i had placed in after the first had blown and these also blowing again, only when in a lite area did i find a crack in the lens of one light letting in water and causing this problem,

but maybe i failed to write that in the first message, so maybe for my punishment i should go work for citysprint and learn how to find faults in the dark when you cant get to your torch (Yes I even carry one of them), i believe they have a black n white tv to watch as i wait all day for a job,

Please Note:

Since writing original post i now realize where ive been going wrong all these years in the business, i now have a start with citysprint on monday and now carry spare spare bulbs just in case the spares run out, im also carrying a spare driver just in case i cant get over my breakdown, so thanks for your input, and now cant wait to watch that little dot vanish from the screen at the end of the night on citysprints black n white set, be good to have only two control buttons again

More likely you have been driving on one headlamp for a few days...

A experienced courier would of know they had an headlight out, should be sacked immediately.

Rico, now there are some bright bulbs working there!

Anyone working for Rico must be as dim as a Toc H lamp. (I know, I used to work for them)
