Had a call from this company today. Has anyone used this company for their fuel cards. Got a email from them with £1.08.6 per litre, any thoughts?

Yes, if the price doesn't keep fluctuating then its a good price, there doesn't appear to be any charges for setting it up, they are based in 2 locations in ireland don't know if that bothers you, I'm not a fuel card lover there never seems to be much of a saving and the lowish prices which tempt me to get one soon rise, if you do apply read all the small print, I think if your doing a lot of miles then the bigger the saving good luck.

They are best used 'just for back-up' unless you are well organised.

We have had many different fuel cards over the years. don't be fooled by the prospecting prices you are quoted from the cold call many will creep up gradually over the months until you are paying more than pump price

Not all are independent and you could find that you have 2 or 3 cards from the same card group which you think you are playing off against each other.

If you can get them to offer you "Platt's Plus" pricing then your fuel cost will follow the Rotterdam market price and you will not feel ripped off.

We managed to get an Esso Commercial Fuel Card on Platts Plus about 10 months ago and have since never seen a pump price at a supermarket or other discounter which would beat it (and it gives TESCO Clubcard points ) Fortnightly billing, No Monthly card charges.

Next week we will be paying 109.63 +VAT or 110.13 + VAT at motorway sites

I work in the fuel card industry for an independent company not one of these big companies that run under lots of different names like 021 Sameday mentions. Be very careful of companies ringing up quoting what look like brilliant prices as they are generally fishing prices. We have had to start offering our cards on a 2 month trial just to show companies that the prices we offer are what you actually get. I find honesty is the best policy in the long run, I tend to find that we arent always the cheapest but people tend to use us because they know they arent getting ripped off.

Fuelmate. Give me your details, i give you a call and maybe take you up on a fuel card. But be warned that i will not give out my card details until i seen the goods and they work. You wont need my security code or long card number. But i will set up a standing order or direct debit.

On the other forum, someone says you're a spam.
