Went over to my home town yesterday afternoon, and the M1 & M69 is a poor advertisement for GREAT Britain!

There seems to be more and more rubbish on the verges. God knows what Visitors must think, but I would be hard pushed to recall any country I have been to with more litter than we have here!

I have a plan for that but health and safety makes it impossible

Community service bods could do it, but they'd have to cone the lane they're working in, have more probation officers (currently one needed per 8 guys) and that would snarl up an already snarled up road system

It is disgusting tho... And so unneccessary

I really don't get it

I was watching a cycling race on tv last week from Belgium, that was terrible especially when they where on the dual carriageways

I get it, a lot of people are dragged up, not brought up and they don't give it a second thought just chuck it out of your vehicle window, or just drop it on the floor, when I was a nipper if went anywhere, we would bring are rubbish home and put it in the bin at home, spent a lot of time in Yorkshire various parts, and my old man said it was the cleanest counties in the Country that was in the the 70's but there is a new breed on the block who don't care.

I live about 50 yards from the River Trent, and most days walk our dog alongside the river paths.
What gets me is the amount of rubbish that is left by the many fishermen that frequent the banks!
They obviously haul all their stuff there, so take the empty bottles and sandwich bags etc back! after all it would weigh less on the way back after eating the crisps etc that were originally in the wrappings!

I saw an old lady say to 2 young lads around 17 ish "Excuse me i saw you throw your sandwich wrapper on the floor, Don't you know that's wrong" They replied yeah so, "F*"k Off and keep your nose out"

At this point this old lady's 2 sons who happen to be big bodybuilding types walked out of the shop she was standing outside. The lads sandwich was launched around 20 feet away with a massive side slap and his mate looked like a 100 metre sprint champion.

He was made to apologise and clean up his sandwich.

Funny to see though
