So there i was, just 100 metres from Old Trafford, i was eating my last piece of KFC and a strange thing happened!

An mtvan job came through on text alert.. Woohoo.. That woke me from daydreaming about Birmingham City beating Manure 6-0

INCREDIBLE! The Job posted was just 4 miles away... 191 miles to Slough. OMG im actually in an area to do a job other than a 2 mile car job via the expert, JUST 4 MILES AWAY!! 191 LOADED MILES

I came on site to look at the post then.. awwww...Noooo Reality kicked in.

I sighed and carried on with my Chicken.The very first time in nearly 2 years a posted job was relevant to my current position...but not really a job!

And having been stung before There is no way im going to consider offering my service to a "random" who has no verification or any thing in place to suggest i might get paid even if it takes 6 months of hounding

And that my friends is one of the reasons the site is finished... Others may of took the job.

Without proper checks on drivers AND without proper checks on those posting the jobs the site that calls itself the "number 2" exchange site just doesn't work.

Mr Singh i hope you managed to get your job covered. But for the future it might help to complete a Full profile especially if im in an area that you post a job

Unfortunately i put my price in before i had checked profile out ( not like me at all by the way) and i spent the next 20 minutes hoping the phone didnt ring... It didnt by the way, my excuse for being so lax is that i have just come back from a week away and i took my eye off the ball. One can only hope that the guy is genuine and just hasnt got around to doing a proper profile yet... ( ha ha ). But Mr G i agree with all you have just posted, and by the way its not only new guys that can be dodgy some established companies on here are just as bad... Yep i am still chasing a London based company for payment but he doesnt seem to be in any Rush to pay.

No rush to pay? Oh dear, looks like bad news travels fast. When that happens there is only one way down,unfortunately others get caught in the mess. Intelligent inspection of the current news feed suggests your not alone. Others are in the same boat.

You're supposed to contact Admin about it - they deleted my thread about somebody not being in a rush to pay. That's if you can contact Admin these days, LOL.

30 days or sooner prefered... Have already added late payment charges and spoken to the guy concerned who promised me he would sort it... Yeah right, i note that as yet admin havnt picked up on this yet. Interest is being added as we speak. And as i am now a little hacked off there will be other action taken this week.

Admin? The sites been abandoned. Say what you feel. The loonies have taken over the asylum.

IF its the expert then itll be 30 days from invoice personally never had a problem with the couple of jobs i did for him paid bang on time

Read the whole thread and you might get a clue as to who it is... Its not courier expert.

After reading all about the trouble alot of people on here have been having with a London based company on here I was only too aware of who it was when my phone rang last week asking if was available for the said Rush job from Ellesmere Port to Portsmouth, I then explained to him that I am very reluctant as his reputation is not the best and I'm not filled with confidence with what I have seen and read. He asked what I meant, So while still on the phone i directed him to a few threads on here to which he seemed quite shocked. So to prove my point I said "Do you see what I mean? I don't want to provide a service if there's going to be a problem later on. We had a chat and after a briefing I said I'll give you a chance. To which i went and the job on Thursday. This could be a very costly mistake like we all know but I've done it now and have given him the benefit of the doubt and it's my own mistake to learn. Hopefully I'll be posting very positive words about that job next time. Fingers Crossed

i have positive words to say about said company, i have done a job for them before and was paid no problem, the job was as easy as, a good firm to deal with good comms etc. Its just the last job i have done for them they havnt paid. I also put a price in for said job as i am only 6 miles away and i didnt get a call so i did ask myself if he was avoiding me or maybe i am being paranoid.

Yeah hopefully it will be fine I'll be sure to keep people updated and give these guys some positive feedback, Thing is with people on here it's easy to get paranoid I suppose as there seems to have been a few sharks knocking about that have gotten away with it. But like spider man says "Everybody gets one chance" So I'm all in

Have you still not been paid by this company. Get court proceedings started if i was you Mike. He is seriously taking the P**S now mate

Oh dear.. As there is no one guarding the site anymore i suggest you post the problem as a topic to warn other drivers

I have done a job for Rush, spot on paid me on time.

You should come on here regularly if you don't then you will miss the good jobs on offer.

i did a job for Rush and was paid on time... The second one however remains unpaid from february. I dont have a problem working for anyone who pays on time.

If I'm picking up the hints correctly, how come the member concerned has no negative feedback, or is there still that stupid 90 day wait before it appears.

Well it may be good news I've had an email remittance advice from said company who I did the job for two weeks ago and looks like it will be paid on Monday, So two weeks early payment, no issues, great comms, I can't praise them enough, The thing is they didn't put the job through on here just sent me a direct email so That's possibly why people can't leave any feedback, If I could it would be very based on my own experience

Maybe that's how they lure us in, Thee olde bait n switch trick, I'll deffo keep my eye on here though just incase they offer any more work or more people are not receiving payments, but I hope it gets sorted for you mate we need more trusty companies we know are good on their word otherwise nobody will be accepting jobs and nobody will post them either and that's not what we need

And did anyone cover that job from Mr Singh?
