People make mistakes but some people do try to rip people off and aren't bothered what financial implications it may cause the driver.

I was just pondering what everyone thought of this.

Today a subby who did a job for us in dec called to chase an invoice, It was indeed 100% my fault. I had marked it paid as i was processing it but didn't enter it on our pay system. Within 3 minutes of the call it was paid into the drivers account and i apologised.
Another driver a few months ago invoiced us for a job he did for us but had actually invoiced us £60 to little. It was his mistake but i called and pointed out his error and paid him accordingly.

10314Honest mistakes obviously happen, we're only human afterall BUT there are many Companies who are clearly struggling with cashflow and this creates a problem.
Clearly you need to try and keep trading even when you have a supplier who is holding back much needed funds, but to expect the subbie to carry on and carry the debt is unfair.
I commend you for pointing out the underpayment on the invoice...very good form.

242we all make mistakes from time to time, its how we go about rectifying them that counts as you have said as soon as you knew of the mistake you sorted it, cant do any more than that, if i make a mistake i put my hands up apologise and get it fixed, it those who blag and come up with some bizarre excuse's that get me, so a big thumbs up from me.
