Headlight Deflectors

Headlight deflectors/converters, does everbody use them when driving in Europe, if you don't use them is there a reason?

I thought newer (and some not even that new) vehicles more often came with adjustors that enable you to change the beam pattern to flat which means you don't need deflectors?

My car (10 years old) has a lever in the headlights to do this. My previous car (14 years old) also had this.

I think it tends to be cars with projector rather than reflector headlights. I have a feeling you're not meant to use beam deflectors with projector lights, or they don't work well, or both.

I don’t use them and never had any problems.

I use eurolights beam reflectors whenever I go over the water.
