That the differance between mtvan & Courier Exchange. At least you can say pretty much what you want on there as long as your not being abusive

I dunno

So many cliques at CX. If someones posting up work then they can do no wrong and drivers will wipe the last load they received from their chins and defend to the death any trolling remark to be assured of a continuation of work. It has the potential to be fantastic but not with so many minions with carpet burns on their knees.

Maybe they should have worst Courier of the week.

Website would go into meltdown! In 15 years of trading ive never known as many drivers to be so negligent ungrateful and lazy as they are now. Its not hard, if you dont want the job then say so and pack it in. Annoys me when drivers pick and choose what jobs they want, you should take the rough with the smooth. It also annoys me when drivers turn down work during the week because they cant be arsed and then monday morn their on the phone begging for work as their quiet.

Hopkins Direct

Are we talking in general or just on this site? Ungrateful? That's a strange statement. And not sure how lazy cuts it as the job is what it is, as for taking the rough with the smooth I couldn't agree more, but as for turning down work because they cant be arsed? Or because they are busy already? It is pretty quiet at the moment though.

In general really mate, just think drivers attitudes have changed somewhat, turning down work saying their somewhere that their not and driving past their house to see van parked up on drive or on a pub car park

Totally agree, Turning up without paperwork or even a pen, not knowing the correct details of pickup or delivery when its clearly provided within the job description, Its just laziness and complacency, and its not just drivers new to the job, its drivers that have been doing it for years.

I'm, not saying it's true, but when you look in the mirror do you see somebody who pays well and on time? Maybe the guy wants to drop you?

I thought the idea of being self employed was that you could pick and choose what work you did?

My wife said I was courier of the week last week as I brought home a decent wage for a change.

I wondered where he was

Well as i was sent an email offering me a 3 month free subscription i thought id better have a look what has been happening. I was once a serial visitor but admit to only coming on site twice this year.

I am shocked to see that nothing has changed except there's even less work. There was just 2 jobs for my size of van posted yesterday! How can Mtvan claim to be the U.ks Number 2 exchange site with such a feeble offering of jobs? just a few questions before im banned for speaking my mind

Has the expert finally been booted? WHY has the site not been improved? New graphics? New features?

It was suggested by many to provide an area where questions about insurance and other regularly asked questions could be solved.. Yet still new members ask the same old chestnuts.

Oh and of course the nature of this thread was " courier of the week " which i am proud to have won 4 weeks running. But sadly it is no more...

I have to be honest. I have done a few jobs for Lee and can say he does pay well compared to some who want it done for next to nothing & yes he paid me on time

Lewis Haulage

Firstly, welcome back Mr G. Only got one BAD payer off here dont think they were a Courier of the Week.

Nope. He occasionally posts odd dregs here (and Anyvan and Shiply and the like), but having milked MTVan for all his publicity, he now (supposedly) has more members than MTVan, so he can now claim to be the number 2 site. LOL.

If you remember i posted a thread warning of the Trojan horse effect.. and of course the site never took heed

I just Googled "sameday couriers tameside" (Manchester) and it returned one for mtvan and three for the expert - he's sure got a lotta branches. Nuff said.
