I have been told hire & reward insurance is up 6% this year. That means my insurance is not going to be any cheaper this year. Paid £1200 last year including 10,000 G I T. This year the cheapest quote is my renewal at £1194 for the same insurance and G I T. My details stay the same with an extra year no claims.

Is this a good quote are should I try other quotes?

Is cheap always the best?

Not in my experience! Check excess, and other things like windscreen cover etc.

I agree alan. I've found you have more restrictions when it comes to cheaper insurance. I always ask the questions first before I commit any agreement.

True I'm not wanting the cheapest insurance. I thought I could get the same policy I currently pay for with more than a £6 discount. With no claims or points added

Why should you get it cheaper? Surely the insurance company doesn't want to earn less this year - are you going to reduce your prices to any of your regular customers this year? Might you prefer to increase your prices?

(Having said which, I did try my best to get a significant reduction for my insurance this year!).

When I added an extra bike to my policy it was £1 :-)

Just after some advise please?

Has anyone got a policy with Autonet Insurance? They have some pretty horrific reviews online.

On the website Go Compare with Autonet Insurance underwritten by Aviva i've selected Haulage Insurance and the price is half of what Insurance brokers have offered me. Is this Insurance sufficient for Courier work?

Thanks

Need to check the fine print. I'm with [business] and had a couple of long conversations with their courier insurance guys before going ahead. Mine states no more than 5 drops (think it's 5) per day for more than 3 consecutive days. So my question was what if I do 3 days multi drop then a day from Brum to Glasgow then 3 more days multi drop. Answer was this is okay as it's not more than 3 days in a row with more than 5 drops. Also drops means drops, not stops ie collections.

But ask and ask and clarify before deciding.

Hope this helps
