Hi.

Southend to Plymouth ( SS1 to PL7 ) @ 263 miles.

I used sites such as Courier Exchange via a broker, as my small van run empty back from Southend to Plymouth.

Social Media and Mtvan along with a few emails to courier companies on the way home.

Not a thing as silent as a library when closed.

I passed major towns like Reading - Swindon - Bristol and not to forget the M25 south bound and links to the north circular.

Granted I was aware via the broker it was rather quite, this I could see by looking at CE but not as a resisted user hence a broker.

Is it due to Easter coming up? School holidays ? Roadworks ?

Any thoughts ?

Nothing to blame like Easter etc, it's just a simple fact that there are far too many couriers chasing far fewer available jobs! I'd imagine on a friday afternoon you would be ok, as most don't like working more than a 4 and a half day week! :)

Or you could Join Shed5 to broaden your horizons even more... As RLT has rightly pointed out there are too many chasing what very little available work there is, but there are some who are clever enough who work "as and when" and only sub to those that pay a very good rate who also use the likes of Courier Exchange or MT as a tool too really maximise what profit they have accumulated..

Courier Exchange works and fails. Good for networking but then so is Shed5. I wonder if a little black book of local members and a call to inform the same that your available within that area would have been more fruitful? Its got to be better than the fingers crossed may get a job hoping for the best that Courier Exchange tends to be
