Have you got any electricity up your way?

Seen a preview of this the other day and looks interesting, I have just finished a two year contact with a very large Parcel company and what I have seen going on with peoples stuff is shocking. I certainly wouldn't send anything via them.

I used to do multi drop for a firm that is well known and it is well shocking the way they treat other peoples purchases. They just throw them into cages fragile or not and expect couriers to deliver them to customers that way. I used to refuse to take them, no wonder they got rid of me lol

Its time the public knew what the big guys get upto, it will certainly help us small guys more, and hopefully the client will understand why the dedicated sector and the quality service it provides is more expensive..

After that programme, wonder how many of TNT's and UKMails customers will drop them after watching that.

And how many sameday companies in London will contact that wine merchant tonight/tomorrow haha

A few things, like anything else they will of picked the worst depot, the depot was very small and looked unorganized, and did you see anybody with any authority eg a Manager or boss, I have been into a few Uk mail, tnt, dhl etc and they where not like that, it does happen, but where you have a lot of not very well paid blokes about with no real experience what can you expect, I thought the program was positively boring.

Well no surprise in the parcel depot I work out of one better organized than the one shown with managers wondering around but still didn't stop stuff being lobbed in a cage from ten foot away, and anything with fragile tape on may as well of had a target on them.

I think that the topic title is misleading it says Couriers when they are actually CARRIERS.

Carriers and their standard of service is what you get for a low cost option .

Couriers and their standard of service is what you get when you pay the correct rate for the service required.

Spencer Logistics

Well said NDC poorly packed cheap option is not a courier service.

Unfortunately Joe Bloggs out there doesn't seem to understand the difference between a courier and a carrier... So we all get tarred with the same brush... How many wasted calls have you had trying to explain the differnce?

I noticed the program didn't show one of the trailer arriving with two & a half thousand parcels rammed in it which are shipped from the central hub where also a lot of damage is done.

I was at the Birmingham hub recently, It's like an ants nest at 3am.

Along a railing there was about 100 pallet trucks all chained up, I asked why and the guy told me they have to do that otherwise they'll get pinched.

I agree Rob with normal Joe bloggs not knowing the difference between courier and carrier, but if your on twitter just look at #UKMail and the recent postings, just says it all really.
