Did a "one off" job for them last December with no issues. Considered joining but I have the wrong kind of phone for their tracker.

What type of insurance do I need? You technically require Hire and Reward motor insurance as you will be operating a commercial vehicle. However, you will find that if you insist on 'haulage' insurance rather than 'courier' insurance, you will find the premiums far lower.

Naughty :)

Express what utter rubbish all light haulage does is remove the option to do multi drop your limited to no more that 5 drops per day per customer. As a few on here know i my prices aren't cheep either. Why would it be illegal if the insurance states hire and reward. The term courier in insurance terms covers mutidrop aswell as sameday. And yes the premiums are lower but not that much to give an unfair advantage

The post says "technically you need Hire and Reward" - No technically about it you DO need Hire and Reward and if it didnt state this on the policy then you would be Illegal. I know of a few who have taken "Light Haulage" insurance and have come very un stuck when needing to make a claim.

The trick is the insurance hire or reward. They usually come unstuck because they start doing 50 drops a day which invalidates there insurance

This is correct. Nothing naughty about light haulage, if you stick to what the policy says. It saved me a chunk on my insurance, but still cost a helluva lot more than business van insurance, and means I'm covered for lots of miles, not lots of drops.

How is it like a large mulit-drop concern that went into administration?
